The National Academy of Direct Taxes, Regional Campus (NADT-RC), Mumbai, operationalised its Ministerial Staff Training Unit in Thane on July 30, 2026. The unit was inaugurated with a "Special Course on Grievance Redressal" to enhance the professional capacity of Income Tax Department officials. Union Minister of Jal Shakti, Shri C. R. Paatil, chaired a high-level meeting with the Chief Ministers of Chhattisgarh and Odisha to facilitate a settlement of the Mahanadi Water Dispute. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has confirmed the expansion of the National Common Mobility Card (NCMC), which is now functional in 13 metro projects and 11 state bus transport corporations. Parliament has passed a bill granting the national song, 'Vande Mataram', the same statutory protection and status as the National Anthem, 'Jana Gana Mana'. The legislation formalises the protocols associated with the national song, ensuring it receives legal standing and respect equivalent to the National Anthem in all official and public contexts.

In a Lok Sabha reply, the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs reiterated key homebuyer protections under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA). The Act mandates that promoters deposit 70% of funds from homebuyers into a separate escrow account for construction costs and establishes a fast-track dispute resolution mechanism. Furthermore, promoters who market or sell projects without RERA registration are liable for a penalty of up to 10% of the project's estimated cost.
