To ensure timely and effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0), Shri Satendra Singh, Secretary, Department of Urban Development, MoHUA, announced that Central Sanctioning and Monitoring Committee (CSMC) meetings will be convened every second week of the month. This regular monitoring mechanism aims to promptly identify and address any bottlenecks in consultation with States/UTs, thereby accelerating the pace of progress towards 'Housing for All' in urban areas.

Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, chaired the 2nd Governing Council Meeting of the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) Society on September 11, 2026, reviewing the project's progress at Lothal, Gujarat. Significant progress has been noted in the external infrastructure supporting the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) at Lothal, Gujarat, as reviewed during the 2nd Governing Council Meeting on September 11, 2026.
